Green Grout and Tile Cleaners

Your bathroom can be a heaven in which to escape at the end of a long and tiring work day. It can also be a germ-ridden nightmare that haunts your sleep. There is a number of harsh commercial cleaners that can help you deal with all dirt and grime in your bathroom. Unfortunately, most of them contain toxic substances that can be harmful to you and the environment as well. That's why, here you'll find several green cleaning recipes that will help you keep your bathroom clean and safe.

For deep cleaning and  restoring the shine of the tiles in your bathroom, spray neat, white vinegar over the surfaces of your tiles and let sit for up to an hour. Then use a soft scrubbing brush to clean limescale and grease.

You can also use my favourite multi-purpose cleaner that will make your bathroom sparkle. Mix together 85 g of baking soda, 120ml of liquid castile soap and 6 drops of your favourite essential oil in a lidded container. Shake well the container before using the cleaning solution. It'll clean the surfaces in your bathroom and bring wonderful shine to them. Rinse thoroughly with warm water after use.

Grout is one of the most common problems that we have to deal with in our bathrooms. To remove any grout, cut a lemon in half and dip the cut surface in salt. Utilize this as a 'scourer'. Replenish the salt as necessary and rinse the grout after cleaning.

Baking soda is also a great choice when it comes to bathroom cleaning. Make a paste of baking soda and water and use a soft brush to apply the paste to grout. To clean the tiles, sprinkle some baking soda on a damp cloth, wipe over the tiles and rinse well. This is enough for deep cleaning the bathroom tiles.

These green cleaning recipes will help you clean and maintain your bathroom without utilizing any toxic substances.
