Home Cleaning with Vinegar

What is white vinegar?

White vinegar is a traditional natural cleaning product that has been used for centuries as it can remove all kinds of stains. It's a great substitute to the harsh commercial cleaners that are harmful for you and the environment.

How do I use white vinegar?

White vinegar is mildly acidic and  extremely useful when you have to deal with dirty windows, mirrors or glass. To prepare your own windows cleaning solution, take a spray bottle and mix in it equal parts of cold water and white vinegar. White vinegar a powerful multi-purpose cleaner that removes greasy stains and makes surfaces sparkle.

White vinegar can be used to clean hard water stains and soap scum from the bathtub, sink, shower and toilet bowl. To make the toilet bowl shine again, just pour a good amount of white distilled vinegar into the bowl and allow it to sit for about 30 minutes. Vinegar will loosen the dirt and it'll be much easier to clean the stains.
For deep cleaning your kitchen floor, just add half a cup of white vinegar to a bucket full warm water. Vinegar will make your linoleum and wood floors sparkle. There is no need to worry about the unpleasant vinegar smell, because it'll be gone in about 15 minutes.

White vinegar can help you remove baked-on food from the interior of your microwave. Take a glass bowl and pour 2 cups of water and ¼ cup of vinegar in it. Place the bowl inside the microwave and heat for about 3 or 4 minutes. All you need to do is to use a cloth to wipe the food residue with minimum efforts.

Is white vinegar safe?

Vinegar isn't dangerous for you, but it can sting. Make sure that when deep cleaning your home, you don't use malt vinegar, because it isn't suitable for cleaning as the smells lingers and the colour can stain surface over time.
