Perfect Carpet Cleaning

Carpet cleaning can do wonders for your carpet preserving its colour and fabrics, and prolonging its life. If you take good care of your carpet it can last for 10-15 years, before you finally have to replace it. But there are three mandatory cleaning routines that you should do in order to do so.

Vacuum cleaning. Vacuum cleaning is the most essential cleaning routine for the carpet. Most cleaning companies, like carpet cleaning SW11, would recommend to vacuum clean the carpet every other day, but, if done right, once a week should be enough. Be very methodical when vacuuming the carpet, first start by repeatedly vacuum over one area in one direction, then change the direction of cleaning. This way the vacuum cleaner would catch even the smallest pieces of dirt. Also consider changing your vacuum cleaner if it's not powerful enough. The right vacuum cleaner should be enough to pick up 75% of the dirt on your carpet.

Stain removal. The most common cause for a carpet to be replaced is a certain stain thatspoils the beauty of the carpet. Stains on the carpet should be tackled immediately after they occur on the fabrics. Keep a stain remover ready at all times and use it whenever the disaster strikes. Consider making your own stain cleaning agent, so that you can clean any stain even if you don't have the right commercial product currently at your disposal.

General Cleaning. No matter how well you vacuum clean the carpet or how well you remove the stains, from time to time you should steam clean your carpet or shampoo it. Better to entrust that job to professionals such as carpet cleaning SW11 experts. Theses cleaning methods can be learned through the method of trial and error, but you would probably have to sacrifice one or two carpets in the process. And nobody wants that.
