How to Clean a Tie

You usually don't have to clean your tie very often. But when you do that, you should consider some things first. It might be possible to wash it in the washing machine. Or, cleaning in the sink is the only choice. Here are some steps to follow when you clean your neck tie.

While domestic cleaning Cheltenham were doing my house cleaning, they shared with me some advice. The first thing to do is to check the care instructions for your neck tie. Some ties, like silk ones, can be only dry cleaned. Others can be washed and you can take care of that.

Check the colours of the tie. Make sure that they will not fade after washing by hands. Test a small spot on the back of the tie by applying some water. If that affects the colours, you'd better take your tie to a dry cleaner.

Put your tie in water. Add some mild detergent and leave it to soak for about 10 minutes. If there are stains, rub them carefully. You can leave the tie in the water for longer if you have to.

Rinse your tie with some warm water. Then you need to dry it well. Hang it outside and leave it to dry in the sun.

Now your neck tie will be clean as a new one. If you want to learn some other useful tips, you can ask house cleaning Melbourne. They will clean not only your house but also answer all your questions.
