How to Remove Fake Tan Stains

Fake tan, we all have used some. It makes our bodies looking sun-kissed and exotic, but there is one big disadvantage, stains. Your clothes get orange stripes, and this may be quite frustrating if you have dressed up, intending to go out soon.

Stains on your skin, do not require deep cleaning. Trying to remove them completely in a few days of vigorously scrubbing in the bathroom, will make your skin hurt. As hard as it may seem, you should allow your skin to regain its natural colour with time. Wear appropriate clothes in order to cover the stained areas.

When it comes to clothing, the best thing to do is prevention. The tanning lotion should should stay on the skin for a certain amount of time before you get dressed. Allow 15 minutes or more. Or find some old baggy cloths you wear only at home and don't risk staining your stylish new wardrobe additions.  Then no deep cleaning will be required and your favourite garments will be safe from harm.

There is still hope for white clothes. Green cleaning is a cure for fake tan stains. Vinegar and borax mixed together will make the magical paste. Rub the stain gently, and leave it for a moment. For pre-treating the stain before machine washing, you can use salt and lemon. Rub and wash.

Some extra care and prevention is the best way to fight such stains. Fake tan lotions are created to produce tan that lasts. If it can linger on your skin all summer long, then it can stain some fabrics inadvertently. Dry cleaning is another option, but why bother spending money on such stains, when not allowing them to occur, costs you nothing.
