6 Tips That Will Ease Your Cleaning Routine

Let's admit it – most women are boasting for knowing the right way to manage a neat and clean household. Unfortunately, all people follow some role models and patterns and they often neglect too many things when cleaning and tidying up. This doesn't necessarily mean their homes aren't properly cleaned, on contrary - they are, but this is usually costs exhausting efforts and precious time. This is why I made a list with the most common time-consuming mistakes we make while we are cleaning around the house and how to avoid them.

Clean More Often

At first lets take a glance at the time you you spend cleaning. I'm certain you don't wipe the floor with mop, vacuum the carpets and rugs or remove the dust every single day. In fact it is proven that textile floorings have to be cleaned few times a week, if you really want them cleaned and sanitised. But there are less than few who actually have the strength and time to clean after a tiring day at work. You can succeed to do this chore if you get all your family members involved and create a schedule so everyone would know their job. No more excuses!

The Right Cleaning Products

Next time you are in the supermarket, take a few minutes to read carefully the labels on the back of the cleaning solutions. There has to be detailed information of the ingredients inside and to what surface you should use it. Using detergents which are meant for the bathroom on wood surfaces may cause damage to the polish. The same applies for the other cleaning solutions, the label is not there just for decoration - read it very carefully before you apply to and make a spot test to see if it is working as you want.

Go Eco

Using standard cleaning solutions can endanger your health and the environment at the same time, because most commercial cleaners include potentially dangerous, toxic chemicals. This is why I recommend you to choose environmentally friendly detergents or make your own ones. There is a certain way to understand if a cleaner is green or not. Look on the back of the bottle where the ingredients are listed and if there is a “trade secret” just leave it on the stand and walk away. This is the way manufacturers conceal the dangerous ingredients.

Protect Yourself

This is very important - no matter what cleaner you choose it's crucial to wear protective gloves and sometimes even mask. Also, you should open all the windows wide at the room you are cleaning to let fresh air circulate freely all the time. Although you use green cleaning solutions and they can't harm your skin, in most cases it will still become dry which isn't pleasant. If you make your own detergents it is safer, but you shouldn't ignore the use of protective gloves.

Less Is More

When it comes to the amount of detergents you use, in most cases this is the answer. Use just a few drops little of the cleaning solution because it is concentrated and initially meant to fight tough to clean stains. You have to admit it - you usually use more just because you want to deal with the task faster, but believe me this is not the way it works. You better apply the solution and wait few minutes before you start treating it. And never forget to rinse well the cleaner, otherwise you can damage the surface you're cleaning. So next time you spot a stain just try to be more gentle and you'll see this is still working.

Scrubbing Doesn't Help in Most Cases

Speaking about stains I really can't understand why some people continue scrubbing the stains and marks on textile items. When you try to scrub the stain it only gets worse and the dirt is forced deeper into the fibres, no matters if it is carpet, curtain, upholstery or garment, which makes it permanent or just extremely hard to remove. Apply the cleaning product, let it do its magic, then blot it carefully with clean cloth. If you find any difficulties to deal with a tough stain on your furniture or carpet you better contactprofessional cleaning company – they will know what to do.
