Tips For Air Conditioner Coils Cleaning

Every air conditioner has condenser and evaporator coils and both need to be maintained clean, so that the AC can work efficiently. When the coils are full of dirt and grime, they are not able to absorb and radiate heat declines, which leads the air conditioner to suffering. To avoid such problems with your AC you can use the following instructions for better maintenance:
Inside the House:

  1. The first thing you can do is to remove the front grille. There are grilles, clipped on the air conditioner, which is easy to remove, and others, requiring a screwdriver. If you can not do it, you better use professional cleaning services.
  2. To expose the condenser coils, you have to remove the filter.
  3. For cleaning the dirt and dust, built- up on the coils, you can use a vacuum cleaner.
  4. For straightening any bent coil fins, use a fin comb. Such tool you can find from an AC wholesaler or at appliance parts outlet stores.
  5. Put aside the filter and front grille.
Outside the House:
  1. When you remove the back grille you can see the evaporator coils.
  2. To remove the dirt and dust from the coils, the use of a vacuum cleaner is best option.
  3. The same like inside the house, you can use a fin comb for straightening any bent coil fins.
  4. The next step in cleaning the air conditioner is to replace the back grille.
  5. For maximum reducing the amount of dirt on the evaporator coils, you should trim any foliage back by two feet minimum.

If the tips, mentioned above seem to be complicated to you, or you simply don't have enough time for that, you can always hire cleaning London professional services. Air conditioner cleaning is the type, included in the regular home cleaning, so it won't be so hard to find the cleaning company in your area and use their services.
