How to Maintain Sun Umbrella

A sun umbrella is a necessary thing to have, especially during the hot seasons. Since the outside of the sun umbrella is exposed to the open air, dirt and stains it accumulate on the umbrella surface over time. Keeping debris off your sun umbrella is essential for its life. In other words, it needs a special and most of all regular care.

Learn how to easily manage such chore from the following cleaners Cockfosters tips on how to maintain a sun umbrella:

A good beginning of the treatment would be to prepare your cleaning tools. This type of treatment require space you probably don't have inside your house. Considering that it will be a lot more comfortable to have everything on hand, instead of individually going back in your home for each item. The things you need are bleach-free degreasing liquid dish soap, clean bucket, warm water, brush with soft bristle and hose.

To start the procedure lay your umbrella out on the driveway, patio or wherever you have enough space.

Take a clean bucket and pour a cup of the liquid dish soap into it.
Then fill the bucket with warm water.

Submerge the bristles of your brush into the soapy water solution.

Then scrub the umbrella surface with the brush. Cleaners Coldharbour advise not to apply too much of a pressure in order not to cause additional damages on the material.

Swill the sun umbrella out once you finish with the scrubbing.

After that open the sun umbrella wide and leave it to dry completely before you store it back on its place.
