Marble is very exquisite material which can be used for creating furniture or use just as decorative surface in the kitchen or in the bathroom. If even a small part of the marble surface gets stained, however, the overall look of the marble get ruined. The different types of stains require different types require different types of cleaning methods. Fortunately, there are plenty of commercial cleaning products on the market that are created just to remove those different types of stains. Besides commercial products there are some homemade cleaning remedies that people can use to remove stains from marble surfaces.
The most universal cleaning solution used for stain removal on marble surfaces is a poultice. The poultice is created by dampening a paper towel or napkin with the most appropriate commercial cleaner for the type of stain that has to be clean. The dampen paper towel is then mashed up until it turns into a paste. Later the paste is applied on the stained part of the marble surface and covered with plastic for few hours. Eventually, the plastic is removed and the paste is scrubbed off from the surface as for the stain it should be abosorbed by the paste and removed when you scrubbed the past off.
Depending on the source of the stain cleaners Groove Park recommend different types of cleaning solutions with which to dampen the paper towel and turn it into a paste. For organic stains it is recommend to create a poultice from combination of 20% peroxide and few drops of ammonia. For rust stains a poultice for rust removal product should be sufficient, while for oil stains it is recommended to create poultice from liquid soap or ammonia.
Most of the stains on the marble surface can be removed by creating a poultice from a stain remover and paper towels. One last piece of advice never use vinegar on marble surface because the acid in the vinegar damages marble.
